Tristana! The Three Pillars of Yoga – Body, Breath & Mind
In this workshop Tim helps you tune into the subtler aspect of your yoga practice. Classic Yoga practice builds on the subtle connections between the way we move on the mat, how we breath and the state of mind we apply. This class  teaches you practical tools to find a strong body, a healthy mind and a soothing breath, setting us up to experience the full spectrum of benefits offered in Yoga. In a gentle manner, this class introduces you to the subtle yet foundational principles of the challenging Intermediate Series, also called “Nadi Shodana”. All levels welcome.

Gateway Postures of The Primary Series + Q&A

Bhujapidasana, Kurmasana, Supta Kurmasana
Sometimes we get a bit stuck! Our leg, shoulders or knees won’t go where we want them to and we feel more achy than happy when attempting the higher notes of our practice, also called the ‘Gateway Postures’ as they serve as indicators that our body has grown ready for a next level. This workshops addresses that issue! Focussing on technique, proper alignment and anatomical insights will help you understand how your body move and how to progress to a next level of your aptitude. We set up for a detailed experience of the difficult gateway postures, slowly peeling off the layers that obstructs our view and motion required to find true freedom and power within. We will finish with a Q&A, so bring your question! All levels welcome.

Jumping, Walking, Rolling, and Floating – Transitions in Practice

In Ashtanga’s Vinyasa style practice, we spend almost as much time transitioning between postures as we do holding these individually. In this workshop, we will explore the many types of transitions we experience in practice. Starting with floating in Surya Namaskara, then to the illusive (and challenging) seated jump throughs and jump backs, and finally into the more complex entrances to arm balances and inversions. We will understand how and where to use strength and stability while creating lightness and ease in the body and mind. Come with a sense of adventure! All Levels Welcome.
